The School AI Policy & Staff Training Kit
For heads of school, deputies and professional-development leads.
Most schools already have AI in use. Someone is planning lessons with a chatbot; someone has pasted a pupil's notes into one. Most have nothing on paper that says what is allowed. This kit gives you the policy, the page for the staff room, the letter to parents and the session that trains the room, written to be read by teachers rather than lawyers.

What is in it
- AI acceptable-use policy. Staff use, student use under a teacher, the data that may never be entered, human review of anything AI-drafted, parents' rights, and who owns the policy. Ten sections, with a signature block for adoption.
- Staff guidance, one page. The same policy for the staff room: four things that matter and two do and don't tables.
- Parent letter. For your letterhead, plus a four-line version for a newsletter: what the school uses AI for, what it never does, how a child's data is protected, and whom to ask.
- Classroom rules for students. A six-line poster and the ten-minute lesson that gives it meaning.
- Staff session outline. A 90-minute session with an agenda, three live demonstrations, discussion prompts and the four decisions to leave with.
- A one-page product sheet for a governor or the board.
Every document is editable Word. Nothing is locked, watermarked or tied to a subscription.

The kit. All six documents, as editable Word files.
The kit, plus a live online session for your staff, run by us on your own call: the 90-minute outline, three demonstrations, your staff's own questions, and the decisions written down before everyone leaves.
How to buy
- Write to hello@edsmartly.com with your school's name, a billing address and the option you want (and two or three dates, if it is the session).
- We send an invoice, payable within 30 days in US dollars, with the kit files.
- For the session, we confirm the date and send the joining link, within four weeks of the invoice.
Where the law fits
The policy names Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law and the UAE's Personal Data Protection Law, the two laws most Gulf schools look to. The kit is templates for your school to adapt, not legal advice: your school remains responsible for the policy it adopts. The kit is in English; an Arabic edition is prepared to order.
Want AI your staff can use under that policy? EdSmartly is the bilingual teaching copilot built to these rules: drafts stay marked unreviewed until a teacher approves them, and student names are masked before the AI writes a report or reads an answer. See pricing.
